Currently freelance consulting for a nonprofit organization to build a custom NPSP Salesforce instance tailored to address the organizational challenges of disparate data and inefficient processes. It's an exciting opportunity to demonstrate the power of Salesforce to the executive leadership team. Since Salesforce is new to the organization, I anticipate a lot of end-user training and support will be required to achieve successful adoption.
I led a small team of Salesforce Administrators to build a custom NPSP Salesforce app to track member intake and progress within the Talent Stacker Program. We solutioned for over 65+ specific client requirements. This project gave me the chance to do a deep dive into Flow Builder, and it was particularly rewarding to develop several Flows that improved the operational efficiency of the Talent Stacker Team. Another key skill I gained was how to effectively leverage tools like Jira and Confluence to help me project manage my team and the product backlog to stay organized and on track with our project timeline. At the end of the project lifecycle, we produced comprehensive training materials to ensure smooth adoption and usage by end users.
During this sprint, my colleagues and I worked to understand the particular business needs of our client in order to help them adopt Salesforce to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and enhance their grant-approval processes capabilities. I continued to hone my Business Analyst skills and created a Salesforce MVP to present to senior stakeholders. One of my core contributions was configuring the Web-to-Lead form on an Experience Cloud Site to capture key grant application information. This feature allowed users to have an easier, more streamlined application process. It also automatically created an application record in the back-end of Salesforce, thereby greatly reducing the manual efforts and time spent by administrative personnel.
During this team sprint, I created a business analysis proposal for our client to showcase the value and impact of Salesforce adoption in addressing their specific pain points. This experience was a great first deep dive into each phase of the Salesforce project lifecycle: Discover, Design, Develop, Deploy. I gained key business analyst skills such as conducting stakeholder interviews, gathering business requirements, writing User Stories and Acceptance Criteria, diagramming Business Process Maps, and planning User Acceptance Testing. I refined my presentation skills by being the chosen leader of our team to present our project deliverables and the final business proposal to the client.
